The following is a list of events I participated in during 2005 -- my 6th year reenacting!! The schedule may change regularly as more events get onto the calendar. This year really jumped into the celebration events of the 250th anniversary of the French and Indian War. This decade will be a busy one for us as we commemorate two major time periods in our history.

April 30: Crown Point French and Indian War Tactical, Crown Point, NY:  a tactical event strictly for reenactors (no public allowed)

May 13-14: Salmon Hole Massacre, Jamaica, VT

May 30: Memorial Ceremony for a statue commemoration Robert Rogers, Rogers Island, NY

June 5-6: Rev War weekend, Fort at No. 4, Charlestown, NH.

June 11-12: Johnson Hall Market Faire

June 18-19: Kentucky Rifle Frolic, Jacobsburg, PA. This is a rendezvous, a pre-1840 event, so anything goes for period dress. I'm going F&I.

July 22-24: 250th Anniversary of Braddock's Defeat/Battle of the Monongahela, held at Old Bedford Village, PA

July 30-31 : Barnett House

August 5-7: F&I Grand Encampment at Fort No. 4, Charlestown, NH

August 12-14: Burnt Toe Rifle Frolic

Sept. 16-18: Battle of Lake George

Sept. 23-24: Encampment at Rogers Island, Fort Edward, NY Rogers Island is the island in the middle of the Hudson River in front of Fort Edward, where the Rangers were housed for the latter half of the F&I War. It has recently been cleaned up and restored.

Oct. 11-15: Lake George Tactical, Lake George, NY. Click here to see the various reports and many photos from previous Lake George Tacticals.

October 28-30: Fort at No. 4, Charlestown, NH. Fort 4 describes this as "A portrayal of Robert Rogers' company of men [THAT'S US!!!] as they return from St. Francis. Be on hand to view the return of the Rangers in the morning by raft and watch the Fort 4 Militia go out to fetch the survivors. Hear the stories from the bedraggled men themselves."
