Here's Robert in his Rev War duds at Fort Ticonderoga, September 2001,
for which his group portrays Gridley's Artillery.
(And no, this is not the Gridley who was
behind "You may fire when ready, Gridley". That Gridley came much, much later.)
By the way, if any of you buy the The Mountain-Lake PBS video Then Again: Reliving History at Fort Ticonderoga (which you should
do, as it's wonderful, and we are in it a lot!) from the Fort Ticonderoga museum
store you will see cannons firing in the darkness; that was from Robert's unit firing
after dark the day this picture was taken. That was VERY cool -- 8 cannons firing
into the night...
