Recruiting for the Lake George Tactical

The Lake George Tactical is the ultimate experience for the seasoned F&I reenactor looking to apply and test his knowledge and skills in the woods. There is no script; there is no public. It is the French and Indian War, 24 hours a day. Equipment is limited to what was commonly in use at the time, with the only exceptions being cameras, medical needs, and canoes made from modern materials.

This event offers the chance to come as close as we can to experiencing a few days in the life of those whom we portray - ON THE VERY SAME GROUND where they walked, lived, and died. This tactical occurs annually the week following Columbus Day weekend. You can come for all 5 days or just one day, but we need to know ahead of time that you are going to be there.

The vision for the British forces is clear. We want as many groups represented as possible and encourage group autonomy. To make the most of the event; however, coordination between individual groups and a central command element is critical. This loose organizational structure allows each group to operate independently, developing and employing their own tactics, under their own leadership while helping to support and augment the overall battle plan. Not following this approach has proven disastrous at times in the past with units actually hindering each other and nobody having any fun.

Your British Commander - Capt. Quintin Kennedy

This amazing event, with so much potential, has suffered the all-to-common impacts of "status quo" and apathy that permeate our busy lives. I lived this event in its glory days and am looking forward to helping restore "The Lake" to the premiere event that it deserves to be. I ask all of you to help me in that endeavor, as certainly no one can do it alone. Do whatever it takes to make the time, make the commitment, and spread the word.

Please feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience at dwadestoner@netscape.net.

For those of you who are not currently loyal to King George, you have my sympathies and I am confident we can help correct that error of judgement. For those of you who actively support the French dog King Louis XV, you must take warning that we will see you at the end of our muskets. If you do not denounce your utterly misplaced allegiance, and If you remain as mongrels compelled to take up arms against the British crown, you may contact Med Chandler (salty_savage@yahoo.com) so that you may at least have company when you feel the wrath of the British forces.

Respectfully,

Wade Stoner
